Saturday, October 10 – Heritage Hopper Steam Special: Enjoy a special Thanksgiving & Oktoberfest Heritage Hopper ride behind 1923 Steam Locomotive No. 9. Explore Waterloo Region, St. Jacobs and Elmira with hop-on, hop-off service and beautiful fall scenery.
Sunday, October 11 – Thanksgiving Steam Excursion: A round-trip steam excursion from our WCR Farmers’ Market Station to Elmira and back, departing at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. As part of your journey, passengers will have the opportunity to take part in a classic steam run-past, stepping off the train to photograph and watch No. 9 pass by under steam (weather permitting).
Monday, October 12 – Thanksgiving Dinner Train: Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner aboard a beautifully restored heritage train as you travel through the colourful autumn countryside between St. Jacobs and Elmira. Reserve your table by October 7, 2026.
There are no refunds unless the WCR cancels a train.
