Get creative with clay! In this freestyle teen workshop you make and paint a small project of your choice. An instructor from the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery demonstrates basic hand-building techniques and shows how to combine simple forms with sculptural elements into a unique, functional piece of art.
After the workshop the pieces are fired in a kiln at the Gallery and finished with a food-safe clear glaze; in about 4–5 weeks you’ll get an email when they’re ready to pick up at the Elmira Branch.
Free; registration required. FREE Teen Studio Classes at the Gallery and across the Region are supported by the Lonsdale and Roberta Schofield Fund, the Ontario Endowment for Children and Youth in Recreation Fund and The Hilde English Memorial Fund, held at Waterloo Region Community Foundation.
