Join us for an evening of learning, conversation, and hands-on exploration!
We will begin with a presentation by Janine Wilson of The Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington, who will share evidence-based strategies for maintaining brain health. Drawing on landmark research, participants will learn about 12 key lifestyle factors that can support brain health and reduce the risk of cognitive decline. Janine will provide practical information and everyday strategies that can be incorporated into daily routines, helping participants make informed choices to support lifelong cognitive wellness. The presentation will conclude with a question-and-answer period.
In the second part of the evening, participants will be introduced to the Library's new Cognitive Care Kits. Designed to encourage social interaction, engagement, and cognitive stimulation, these kits contain simple, enjoyable activities that can be used individually or shared with family, friends, and caregivers.
For ages 18+. Registration for each participant is required.
