Have you ever wanted to grow your own fruit or nuts? Do you want to learn how to achieve robust, organic, backyard harvests of apples, pears, and cold-hardy small fruits tailored to our climate?
Our guest speaker, Fred Lichti, local retired Mennonite pastor, has 30+ years of experience grafting and growing in his own orchard in Elmira as well as working at Whiffletree Farm and Nursery.
Trees, bushes, grafting, and espalier will be covered. Fred is an expert on the topic and is excited to share his knowledge, so bring your questions!
Light refreshments will be served after the meeting. Lug-a-Mug: please bring your own mug.
